**The Department of Human Services** delivers strategies, programs and services that improve the wellbeing and safety of South Australians. A customer focused organisation that puts people first, they invest in the community through grants and funding and provide core services across youth justice, disability services, concessions and rebates, employment screening and family safety and support. An opportunity now exists to join the disability services team, that provides services for over 500 clients in supported independent living.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Disability Services, you will lead the strategic direction of the clinical governance for the service and delivery of allied health, behaviour support and community nursing services within DHS disability services. Leading a team of over 50 multi-disciplinary allied health professionals, nurses and quality and compliance staff, you will develop a strategic framework to support practitioners to deliver quality services. Your immediate challenge will be to review the existing workforce, structure and service delivery model to shape, drive and re-create a modern approach in a commercial environment. Engaging and influencing key stakeholders including within the department, the NDIA, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, clients and their families, you will lead service delivery reform to improve service delivery and maximise NDIS revenue. Building the clinical side of the business, you will identify and manage strategic risk, provide strategic and advice, as well as monitor and improve service based on client outcomes.

Experience in human services, with strong clinical literacy, you will be a commercially astute professional, with demonstrated success taking people on a journey of change and transformation. Degree qualified, with strong people leadership, you will have experience influencing and engaging key stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to achieve organisational goals. A passion for making a difference, you will have credibility through a strong track record of effecting change and connecting teams to a higher purpose and vision. You will be compassionate, inquisitive in nature and have a values alignment with working in human services.

This is a senior role at an executive level (or equivalent) opportunity within the South Australian Government, where you can create a new business unit, lead a diverse workforce, with the ability to make and deliver change.
