About the team
The Direct Business Banking team is part of Business Banking and Agri, servicing business customers in the under $500K lending space. We work with our distribution partners in branches, digital and consumer connection as well as our partners in operations and commercial credit risk to support our existing customers to grow and to attract new customer to BENs Business Banking proposition.
The Manager Direct Business Banking works in a central location, partnering virtually across Business Customer lenders, Consumer lenders, building relationships with customers to provide quality banking services and help grow their businesses.
The role
Your role as Team Manager will be leading a team of Bankers to meet the needs of our existing customers nationally. You will lead your team in attracting and supporting customer in the communities in which we operate. Some of your key outcomes are:
Ensuring your team’s capabilities are up-to-date and development plans are in place, coaching team members to achieving outstanding performance
Maintaining positive customer feedback through driving customer focus and operational support within your team and in collaboration with other bank departments
Ensure a consistent one-way-same-way experience for our customers through consistent coaching and mentoring of team members
Ensuring the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and be accountable for Risk Management is maintained and drive growth where an opportunity presents
Ensuring the team demonstrates processes, adequate controls to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, resulting in the delivery of market competitive and customer focused turnaround times and outcomes.
You
We are on a talent quest for an experienced leader in the high volume and high service driven environments such as banking and financial services call centres or operational banking teams. Exposure to business banking or agribusiness is highly regarded. In addition, experience and capabilities in the following areas will set you up for success in this role:
Proven experience in Active Ops/Workware planning and understanding of methodologies is highly desirable
Operational excellence - achieving agreed success measures through team performance
Business banking / agri business experience will be highly regarded, but not essential
Proven experience of a wide variety of lending functions, processes and systems preferred
Excellent digital literacy, knowledge of standard MS software is expected
FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
