About the role
We have an exciting fixed term opportunity for an Accounts Receivable & Customer Service Manager to join our Finance Team Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Credit and Client Services Teams to ensure the delivery of high performance, acting as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated role model and coach. This role is 6-month, fixed term contract.
**Requirements**:
- Manage all escalations received from teams, carrying out analysis for reasons for the queries raised and work towards a concrete resolution of the customer concern
- Develop sound, acceptable credit policies and procedures for the establishment of new accounts, credit extension, payment terms and default penalties for various customers
- Proactively manage risk in the customer portfolio by identifying high risk accounts and actively manage such accounts, including negotiation of and ensuring adherence to payment programs
- Develop and implement customer focused procedures for responding to internal and external customer queries and complaints; measure and monitor results to ensure customer satisfaction
- Coach, mentor and guide the team with their daily tasks while also ensuring their personal development and growth
- Manage the engagement and retention of employees within own team
- Set performance standards and implement measurement against standards at individual team member level
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar role with direct reporting staff
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred, but not essential)
- Demonstrated people management experience, leading and driving a diverse team of professionals
- A good understanding of financial concepts and reconciliations
- Industry experience preferable, especially with Production Print customers
- Understanding of relevant legislation (PPS Act, Privacy Act, etc), legal documentation and terms and conditions of sales and service contracts
- High level of computer literacy
- using financial systems, Microsoft Office suite and previous use of SAP desirable
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
