Café Manager

**About the Role**

Beans in a Row is an exciting, soon to open Café, located in an industrial estate in Rowville 3178.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to assist in the creation of something cool at the ground level. Our new space will be servicing both the local industrial and residential populations, offering a range of take-away cakes and sweets, great quality sandwiches, healthy salads, smoothies and specialist products, as well as amazing first-class coffee from our partners at Symmetry Bean Roasters.

Our new Café Manager would essentially take the helm, kick things off and manage all areas of the new Café, focusing on ‘first impressions’ and creating an all-round positive customer experience.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Create an amazing Café from ground level.
- Create an amazing team.
- Provide ‘hands on’ leadership, training and overseeing of staff, ensuring they are trained in processes, standards and your expectations.
- Lead, coach and counsel staff, to help them shine.
- Ordering of product and stock, and that ‘day-to-day’ stuff.
- Input into the development of systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Complete rosters fairly and consistently, within budget allowances.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and WHS standards.
- Ensure high quality at all times and maintain consistent standards.
- Resolve customer service matters and keep customers smiling.
- Keep in touch with any new trends or recommend areas for improvement.

**About You**
- 2-3 years’ leadership experience in hospitality.
- Passionate about the customer experience and product quality.
- Creating something cool from something new, with some vision in this area.
- A talent for mentoring and leading by example.
- An ability to connect with customers and provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Problem solving, critical thinking skills and an ability to multi-task.
- Motivated, positive leader and team player.
- Strong communication skills.
- Just being authentic, down to earth, with a genuine love of people and good coffee.
- Some social media ideas is also always a handy thing.

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
