We are looking for the best suited applicant for the role. **This position requires an applicant who**:

- Understands the organisations vision, priorities and business objectives. Develops work plans by determining milestones, schedules and resources in line with annual work programs and organisational priorities.
- Uses a range of processes, tools and techniques to effectively manage a work group to achieve project milestones and deadlines. Every staff member is expected to role model leadership behaviours. This role requires the Team Leader leadership capabilities as outlined in the Leadership competencies for Queensland booklet.

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic individuals able to work well independently when required, and as part of a team, and who can lead and motivate others through their own performance and work ethic.
There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this position, however a formal relevant qualification would be highly regarded.

It is highly desirable that the occupant of this position holds the following accreditations:

- Wildfire Suppression and Prescribed Burning (Level 1)
- Unrestricted Agricultural Chemical Distribution certificate
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Departmental Law Enforcement accreditation (Level1)
- Chainsaw operator's accreditation (Level 1 & 2)
- MR or LR Heavy vehicle licence
- Operation of specialised equipment such as tractors, backhoe, forklift, posi track and mini excavator.

This process may also be used to fill other vacancies in various work locations across the Sunshine Coast Area, including Noosa, Gympie, and Maleny work units.
