**The Opportunity**:
Are you ready for a permanent, full-time role that goes beyond the ordinary? As a Mechanical Plant Technician, you'll be stationed at the impressive Shoalhaven Power Station, showcasing your expertise in asset operations and maintenance. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of the Shoalhaven Hydro Power Scheme, contributing to the maximization of flexible, safe, and reliable production of renewable energy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain the plant safely and reliably
- Be an integral part of the Power Station Team, actively contributing to its success
- Manage and collaborate with contractors
- Implement, review, and execute equipment strategies, O&M plans, and support inventory optimization
- Provide standby services outside of normal working hours

**To be shortlisted, you'll need**:

- Mechanical Trade level qualifications with substantial post-trade experience or equivalent power station/ heavy industry experience
- Strong communication skills, both electronic and verbal
- Demonstrated problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to perform standby and call-in duties
