**About the Company**
You will be working for an industry leader in the transport and logistics industry that service contracts across a broad range of industry sectors.
**About the Role**
The HSE Advisor is responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture, strategy, plan and performance across the Western Australian ‘bulk dangerous goods’ operations.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Supporting business leaders in aligning and coordinating HSE activities and processes across the Bulk Dangerous Goods, WA operations.
- Involvement in consultation and implementation of the Global HSE Management System.
- Monitoring compliance with company and statutory HSE requirements, including participation in regular HSE audits and inspections.
- Developing and reviewing HSE Improvement Plans.
- Providing accurate and timely HSE performance reports.
- Analysing incident trends and assist with development of continual improvement strategies.
- Supporting business leaders to monitor and maintain HSE compliance with licence conditions.
- Engaging with statutory Authorities and accreditation bodies in relation to HSE matters.
- Reviewing HSE information and performance of Contractors and Subcontractors.
**To succeed in this role, you will have**:
- 5-7 years practical experience in a HSE role, preferably within the transport, Dangerous Goods, mining or similar heavy industry.
- An understanding of business constraints and HSE challenges faced by line managers.
- Prior experience in participating in third party audits and corrective action planning.
- Detailed knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, industry standards and management system standards (AS4801, ISO45001 & ISO14001).
- Sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of HSE legislation and audit criteria.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Dangerous Goods qualifications or training.
- Auditing qualifications or training.
