**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced HSE and Compliance Advisor to oversee our equipment operations with a strong focus on heavy Industry compliance, auditing and heath and safety.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, HSE for equipment division you will oversee and manage compliance and health and safety for multiple workshops and operations in WA. Based in Rockhampton or Kewdale your remit is to ensure the day to day compliance requirements of all matters pertaining to Equipment Operations, including vehicle standards and maintenance and be accountable for the effective implementation of processes to maintain compliance with legislative and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.

As the HSE & Compliance Advisor, you will:
- Day to day safety management across the operations, to ensure HSE and compliance best practice.
- Mitigate risk, established assurance, develop systems and build knowledge of the overall process of the equipment team.
- Manage site compliance and document control including preparation and presentation of reporting.
- Assess and implement safety training programs including contractor induction.
- Identify, develop, and implement the safety strategy to enhance the safety of all persons onsite.
- Support the behaviour-based safety program through coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct and document incident investigations, injury, and hazard reporting in TRAC.
- Have the flexibility to travel to Karratha, Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie once a quartre.
**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge/Experience**
- 4-10 years practical experience in a HSE role with a focus on heavy industry compliance.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders.
**Technical**
- Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and management system standards.
- Detailed knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legislation, industry standards, and the Australian Master Code of Practice for Chain of Responsibility,
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of HSE and road transport safety legislation and audit criteria.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others including legislators, external auditors, accreditation bodies, industry experts.
