Production Technician

**About the position**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate the plant as required, performing routine maintenance
- Investigate root causes to resolve plant failures and manage outages
- Managing site contractor works and stores management
- Developing and implementing regional plant improvements and work packages
- Administration, including the inputting of data into relevant systems and databases

In this role you may be required to participate in and on call roster with requirement to stay within 1 hour of the plant whilst on call.

**About you**:

- An Electrical / Instrumentation trade background
- Knowledge of maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques and maintenance management practices
- Demonstrated fault-finding & plant diagnostic skills along with a high understanding of plant reliability principles
- Ability to participate in an on call roster with a callout response time of 1 hour
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to provide a consistent, reliable and high level of service
- Strong computer literacy involving spreadsheets and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated alignment with SHL’s Values and Behaviours
- Ability to adjust effectively to change and to work within new structures, processes requirements and cultures
- Ability to propose new ideas and contribute to quality improvements
- Knowledge of gas and diesel power stations, gas turbines, operations, access requirements, planning and scheduling systems is desirable.
