Pcontrol IT Analyst

**POSITION PURPOSE**: The team works within a matrix structure, delivering into projects that are managed across all platforms. They communicate with internal and external stakeholders (including business stakeholders in operations, product and coverage, vendors, consultants, suppliers and occasionally BP2S clients). **Key Responsibilities** **Business Analysis**: - Working with the business to understand the full scope of the services that use pControl as part of their end to end process. - Partnering with the business to define an optimal business solution and delivery on the agreed scope and taking into account all upstream / downstream impacts relevant to the business process. **Functional Design & Testing** - Analysing, designing and configuring pControl as per project requirements. - Developing Functional Designs in-conjunction with the business, architects, developers and service delivery staff for all requests for change. - Developing system test cases for all requests for change - Conducting system test execution and producing system test completion reports - Providing UAT and production implementation support **System Upgrades** - Working with the vendor to identify the enhancements / fixes to be delivered as part of an upgrade release and working with the business to ensure business benefit is achieved from the upgrade. - Production of system test for enhancements / fixes - System test execution conducted and system test completion report produced. **General** - Providing realistic estimates and delivering within these estimates (time and budget) - Complying with audit and security requirements - Bringing innovative solutions where appropriate **Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)** **Technical - must have** Knowledge of unit pricing for large fund administrators Experience in a technology change management capacity in the Financial Services Industry Experience in custody or back-office administration for the funds management industry **Technical - desired** Exposure to pControl v4 and/or v6 Experience working in Agile methodology SQL Server experience **Behavioural** **Problem solving**: gathers and analyses information and uses it to develop effective solutions to difficult problems or situations **Drive for results**: Continually focuses on achieving positive, concrete results contributing to BP2S’ business success **Communication**: Write, speak and present information effectively, relevantly and in a timely fashion **Negotiation & conflict resolution**: Negotiates or mediates sound agreements in situations where there is disagreement or differences in interests **Innovation**: Develop and implement original ideas, approaches and solutions to typical, unusual or difficult situations or problems **Work standards**: Sets high goals and standards of performance for self, and the team, dissatisfied with average performance. **Collaboration and team work**: Develops and maintains a good working relationship with others.
