Digital Transformation - Program of work

This transformation will bring our work processes and day to day operations into a digital chapter to support our growth and development. The new systems we are implementing will make work easier. It will provide a more modern working environment - it will streamline day-to-day tasks, simplify processes, and reduce paperwork. It will also lay the foundation for how we work and interact with each other - and with our port users, stakeholders, and regional communities to create value and provide exceptional customer service. More broadly, this digital transformation of Southern Ports is also an important part of making sure our business is ‘future ready’ - positioning our business to face future challenges and seize the opportunities that lay ahead.

Key areas of our business have been targeted for this digital expansion,
- Marine side port operations,
- Land side terminal operations
- Payroll, Human Resources and Finance,
- Asset Management which includes Maintenance planning and execution,
- Purchasing, Inventory and stores

**The Role**
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Operations Systems Lead will lead the implementation of the land side terminal operating system.

The role will ensure that core operational functionality and key stakeholder are included where appropriate across all existing system for Southern Ports.

This role will have oversight to build an understanding of our operational activities across the three (3) ports to lead the implementation of the terminal operating system with the selected vendor.

The role will also ensure that the operations representation and consideration is evident across all systems where needed working with other leads to ensure that the operations functionality in our business is across all new systems and collaborating where required.

Key activities
- Vendor/consultant management
- Project management tasks, (project methodology, managing steering co, project schedule, PSR etc)
- System design and configuration, requirements gathering, planning and draft for approval
- Business process mapping
- Stakeholder engagement - external and internal
- System integration and process mapping
- Reporting
- Testing
- Deployment planning

This full time 18-month fixed term position will appeal to a suitably qualified person with experience in supporting a digital transformation team and will require innovative thinking and a calm, focused approach.

**The Expertise**
- Logistic network knowledge and experience
- Supply chain knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience in Project Planning
- Extensive experience in Project Organisation and System implementation
- High level knowledge and experience in Workforce management and planning
- Experience using D365 or other ERPs
- IT systems knowledge and experience
- Experience working on a large-scale digital transformation and industrial organisation
- Strong track record of successful stakeholder relationship development and management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information in a clear, concise manner and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent project management and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to conduct focus groups as required
- Strong analysis and reconciliation skills
- Current WA C Class Driver’s License.
- Desired: Degree in Business, Project management or Computer Science or relevant discipline

**Requirements**:
To be eligible for this 18-month fixed term full time role, applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.

Availability to travel to our regional ports.
