**The Company**
Our client specialises in the manufacture and distribution of medical therapeutic products and are going through a stage of significant growth. The company is well capitalised, has an ambitious team and is currently embarking on rolling out a plan that will establish itself as a leader across Australia. They are now looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their new Victoria based Warehouse in South-Melbourne.

**The Role**
Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse 2IC will supervise the team and be responsible for the outbound operations.

This is a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday working standard office hours.

Key duties include:

- Assist the Warehouse Manager with training of new team members as well as ongoing training and upskilling for all existing team
- Organisation and management of team schedules, rosters, and tasks
- Oversee all aspects of daily outbound orders including the execution management of order processing, picking, packing, and shipping
- Work alongside the Inventory Controller to manage and receive inbound stock (including returns), pick face management, and warehouse layout
- Ensure compliance of all warehouse SOPs, License conditions and legislation as directed by management
- Ensure all team are trained and follow Workplace Health and Safety best practices and policies, with assistance from management
- Assist management with improvement and efficiency ideas and ongoing plans
- Weekly/Monthly or as required reporting to the Warehouse Manager
- General admin, housekeeping, and upkeep of the warehouse

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience within a similar warehousing role required
- Exposure working with short shelf-life products is highly desirable
- Medical/pharmaceutical and or food industry experience required
- Previous experience leading a team would be highly advantageous
- Forklift licence required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to build strong relationships with the wider team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A history of punctuality and reliability
- Willing to learn and be challenged to improve
