**Position Information**:
Riverbank Public School opened in Term 1, 2015 and is located in the suburb of The Ponds in the north west of Sydney. The school shares a site with The Ponds High School and is part of an innovative and collaborative approach to teaching and learning. The school has an emphasis on high expectations, outstanding teaching and learning programs supported by ongoing professional learning of staff. Collaborative planning, co-teaching, and decision-making, together with distributed instructional leadership practices creates an excelling environment for engaged and effective learning. Our school is a member of The Ponds Learning Community. Focus is placed on the development of quality literacy and numeracy programs and the use of technology to support and engage students.
Our rapidly growing student population is 2100, 89% of whom have a language background other than English. The school has three Multi Categorical support classes and encourages a holistic and inclusive approach, supported by strong student wellbeing programs. Our Restorative Practice Framework provides a common language and practice to build respectful relationships, and foster effective communication with students, staff, parents, and the wider community. The school has strong partnerships with the P&C, parents, and local community.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated ability to lead a large stage 3 team of 350 students, 15 teachers and implement current evidence-based research through effective instructional leadership.
Lead innovation within a collaborative learning environment to facilitate, implement and evaluate school initiatives within our strategic improvement plan.
Demonstrated ability to provide differentiated, high-impact professional learning that ensures the continual development and growth of teacher expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
Highly developed and visible communication skills with demonstrated ability to build respectful relationships with all members of the community, in line with our school’s wellbeing framework.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4.
