**Your new company**
This company is a core division in one of the most well-known ACT developers specialising across hotel operations, strategy and management. This brand contributes over 800 luxury hotel rooms across the Canberra market, with the plan to grow that number massively in the next 5 years. Servicing some of Canberra’s most recognisable clients, this brand is truly altering the hospitality landscape in the ACT.

**Your new role**
The Maintenance Assistant works closely with Facilities Manager, Hotel Manager and various other departments in the hotel to make sure the hotel and the appliances in the hotel are well maintained. The day to day duties will be as follows;
- Test and troubleshoot and perform basic repair in all types of equipment To clean and lubricate, protect and maintain all tools and equipment
- Maintain outdoor gardens, hotel surrounds and back dock areas
- To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Perform maintenance activities in guest rooms and hotel public areas and restaurants like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, joinery, plumbing fixtures, testing operation of white goods and small appliances, light fixtures and cleaning ac filters
- Ensure uniform, vehicles and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Previous experience within the maintenance realm
- Hotel exposure (desirable)
- White card & Asbestos Awareness
- High level of customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to utilise handheld power tools
- Current Drivers License
