Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**-
- Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check.-
**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : I have had my COVID-19 vaccine, or if I am successful in obtaining this role, I am willing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine (3) before commencing.
- Essential : Demonstrated practice within ANCI competencies and Code of Ethics/Professional Conduct.
- Essential : Current Neonatal resuscitation and Basic Life Support competency or willingness to complete.
- Essential : Be prepared to undertake Graduate Year / Transition Program in Midwifery.
- Essential : Prepared to work rotating day/night/weekend shifts.
- Desirable : Been assessed through performance reviews as having met requirements in your last performance review.
- Desirable : Demonstrate that they have maintained their mandatory competencies, as per GSHS’ policy for the life of their tenure with GSHS.
- Desirable : Demonstrate that they have increasing competence in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation phases in nursing care.
- Desirable : Be prepared to complete the Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP), assessed at Level 2 or above.
