The **Open Pits Department**at **Northern Star Resources** currently has an opportunity for a highly experienced **Training Superintendent**to join the team, working at our **Subiaco**based **Corporate Office**, on a permanent and full-time basis.
Reporting to the **HSEQ & Training Manager**, this key senior role will be 100% corporate based during the startup phase, where you will create an action plan, coordinate & chair weekly & fortnightly reviews, set up & develop management systems, team plans, training plans & HSEQ training for the project.
Once the startup phase is complete, the role will become 50% site based & 50% corporate based.

- Leading & managing the department training team.
- Planning, developing & implementing training initiatives.
- Overseeing training delivery, including safety, machinery operation & leadership development training.
- Ensuring compliance & adhering to regulatory training requirements and industry best practices.
- Creating ‘best practice’ training records maintenance, including the development of a personnel training matrix and ensuring certifications & competencies are current & up-to-date.
- Developing & managing the training budget, including effectively allocating resources for training programs and identifying training requirements.
- Developing training manuals, presentations, and other learning resources.
- Evaluating training effectiveness, by assessing the impact of training programs on employee performance and safety.
**To thrive in this role.**
- Qualifications & Experience:
- A Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Cert IV Workplace Health & Safety
- Certificate IV - Training & Assessment
- Previous experience in the development and implementation of companywide training programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with Training Management Systems.
- Sound demonstrated experience in a similar position within the mining industry.
- Detailed knowledge of gold mining and processing.
- Excellent understanding of Mines Safety & Inspection Legislation and statutory training/assessment requirements.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent)

- You possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to deliver under pressure.
