**About the Role**:

- Contribute to the delivery of quality water and wastewater services to the community
- Undertake installation, maintenance and monitoring works on Council’s water and wastewater network including water supply and wastewater drainage systems ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
- Document, monitor and review water and wastewater data in electronic and hard copy format, reporting anomalies as required
- Contribute to cross-team collaboration through information and knowledge sharing and providing support for maintenance and operations of treatment plants
- Establish and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships through effective communication to ensure positive outcomes
- Be available for weekend and on-call rosters and be available to respond to emergency call-outs when required
- Monitor own work performance and progress towards the delivery of work plan goals and report on progress to team leaders
- Use resources efficiently, effectively and responsibly to complete tasks that either contribute to or directly deliver services
- Contribute to the performance of Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make the best use of knowledge, experience and skills and be accountable for own decisions and actions
- Contribute to a safe workplace: comply with legislative and organisational requirements and be accountable for own decisions and actions

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to operate small plant and hand tools competently. Including lawnmowers, whipper snippers, sludge pumps, powered cut-off saws, grinders, drill, and water snorter (pipeline pressure cleaner)
- Construction Induction White Card
- Ability and willingness to undertake confined spaces training courses including refresher courses
- Physically fit to complete all aspects of the position
- Experience in Treatment Plant Operations or ability and willingness to undertake training for both water and wastewater operations
- Ability and willingness to work weekend and on-call rosters and be available to respond to emergency call-outs when required
- Demonstrated literacy and computer skills with the ability to complete paper and electronic forms and record data
- Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes that contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals
- Current Class C drivers licence.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge and understanding of Radio Telemetry
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in pipeline construction for the laying of water and wastewater mains or ability to learn
- Traffic Controller Certificate
- Implement Traffic Control Plans Certificate
- Certificate of Competence in Excavator Operation
- Certification in Water Treatment (Cert III) or Certificate in Water Industry Operations
- Drivers Licence MR (Medium Rigid)
