**About the Role**
We are seeking a Lecturer, Indigenous Studies to assist with strengthening the overall research, teaching, and external partner engagement for Indigenous Studies at Swinburne.

This full-time, ongoing role will contribute to curriculum development, teaching, and research across two schools and will play an important role in the overall student experience, teaching quality, and the quality of student outcomes.

As an expert within your field, you will bring high quality teaching and potential for research excellence, and mentorship. Additionally, you will contribute to the Indigenising and decolonising of teaching and learning across the Schools. It is expected that you will maintain and continue to develop your scholarly research and/or professional expertise throughout your engagement at Swinburne.

A capacity to supervise postgraduate students will be an advantage. The appointee will also assist in the achievement of objectives detailed in Swinburne’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

**About You**
**To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to manage curriculum, and potential for high-quality teaching in Indigenous Studies with outstanding student outcomes.
- A strong record of, or potential for, high-quality research as evidenced by publications and / or non-traditional research outcomes.
- Knowledge in concepts of Indigenous health and wellbeing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders, including an ability to work effectively with colleagues external to the department and the university

**Qualifications**
A PhD in Indigenous Studies or associated relevant field is preferred (applicants completing a PhD or aiming to complete a PhD are also welcome to apply).
