**About the opportunity**
We are looking to employ a Rostering Officer with outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. As a Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for rostering a team of community-based support workers to deliver the best care and support to Hi Five participants in acheiving their personal goals. Working in partnership with the Home and Community Services team, the Rostering Officer ensures that shifts are allocated in a timely manner and with mínimal disruption to Hi Five participant preferences and support staff availability.
**Responsibilities include**:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all rostering enquiries and duties.
Coordinate all rostering requests ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner to reflect participant requests or staff availability.
Update and maintain roster changes log (or similar system) to ensure the accuracy of roster changes.
Work seamlessly with the after-hours team by conducting detailed and efficient handovers.
Monitor, review and approve hours worked by support workers on a weekly basis.
Demonstrates a high level of customer service to participants, staff and other Hi Five constituents in a prompt, professional and effective manner
Communicate sensitively, openly and effectively with Hi Five participants, their families/carers and/or advocates, substitute decision-makers and other staff including providing prompt, courteous and relevant responses to all enquiries including internal and external requests.
Undertake HR administrative duties as required, from hiring, onboarding, compliance documentation, managing employee data and general administration tasks.
First port of call of Support staff for basic HR queries.
First point of contact for all queries relating to Rostering Systems, HR processes, policies, and training programs such as iinduct.
Work closely with the Care Coordinators and Operations Manager on a daily basis from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
