**In-Home Early Childhood Educator - Redland Bay**

We are a loving and busy family in Redland Bay looking for a dedicated **In-Home Early Childhood Educator** to care for and support our two wonderful boys with special needs while we run our business from home.

**About Our Family**:

- **5-year-old son** (starting school in 2026) - Hard of hearing, has a rare genetic condition, but is switched on, mobile, and full of life.
- **20-month-old son** - Has spina bifida (paraplegic) and is also hard of hearing.
- Both boys **love** playing with cars, trucks, dolls, and especially **music and instruments**.
- We also have a **friendly 3-year-old Labradoodle, Binego**, who loves being part of the family fun.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Provide **engaging, nurturing, and inclusive** care for both boys.
- Support **early childhood development, sensory play, and learning activities** suited to their needs.
- Encourage **communication skills**, with a **bonus** if you know **Auslan** or are passionate about bilingual learning.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, naps, and playtime.
- Prioritize the **happiness, safety, and well-being** of our children at all times.
- Work **autonomously** while maintaining a **positive and professional** approach.
- **No nappies or toileting required** - parents will manage this during the day

**Hours**:

- **Monday - Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM**

**Must Haves**:

- **Must be over 18 years old**:

- **Minimum Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)**:

- **QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)**:

- **First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis - HLTAID012)**:

**Who We’re Looking For**:

- Experienced in **early childhood education or disability support**.
- Warm, caring, and energetic, with a passion for helping children thrive.
- Confident working independently and **adapting to the unique needs** of each child.
- Understanding of **hearing loss and mobility challenges** (or willing to learn).
- A **bonus** if you have experience with **Auslan, bilingual learning, or music-based play**.
