Legal Assistant (Workers Compensation)

What are we looking for?

An exciting opportunity is now available in Epping. We are now seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join the National Work + Road team to support the Workers Compensation practice on a part time basis, ideally 3 days per week. This is a 12 month contract opportunity. Flexible work arrangements will also be considered.

Our clients can be entitled to a range of benefits and compensation under the Workers Compensation Scheme. Our Lawyers in the Workers Compensation team, understand that suffering a workplace injury, can present major hurdles to overcome. They support our clients every step of the way with care, understanding, flexibility and support. Our Lawyers take care of the legal needs, so our clients can take care of their recovery.

You will be reporting to a busy Lawyer, and as one of the support team members, you will help maintain and drive the success of the department. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work.

This is a not-to-miss opportunity for those who like to take ownership of their work and work hands on with matters. Your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with clients, lawyers and other professionals
- Arranging appointments
- Producing and filing court documents
- Preparing briefs
- Managing a database
- Diary management
- Generating & editing correspondence

**What will you bring?**

Previous experience as a legal assistant, personal assistant or legal secretary supporting a personal injury law team;
- A high attention to detail;
- Proven time management;
- An ability to deal sensitively with clients and show empathy when required;
- Working in a team environment is essential.
