**About the Role**

There are two positions available as a full time (1.0EFT) or part time (0.5EFT) role within the Nutrition and Food Services department. This position is a cover role to provide continuation of excellent clinical dietetic service while staff are on leave.

You will be responsible for the provision of high quality nutritional care to paediatric patients and their families within the inpatient and outpatient setting across a wide variety of general and specialist units as required.

**What You’ll Achieve**:

- Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective.
- Willingness to meet the credentialing requirements of the RCH generally and the Nutrition & Food Services Department.
- Nutritional care of paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) across a variety of specialist/medical unit
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure their understanding and that their needs and views are included in plans and actions.

Classification for this position with range from AJ1 - AJ4, Grade 2 Year 1 - Grade 2 Year 4 (FTE base salary $90,812 to $102,757 per annum, plus superannuation).

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
- Minimum postgraduate degree Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent

**About Nutrition and Food Services**

The Department of Nutrition and Food Services at The Royal Children's Hospital incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients. We are also a registered NDIS provide and provide a variety of nutrition supports to our patients with a disability.
