It’s an exciting time to join Air Defence Systems Branch (ADSB) seeking a professional, motivated and experienced APS6 Project Scheduler professional to provide support to various AIR6500 Series projects and applicants are sought from various locations including: Canberra (ACT), Adelaide (SA), Newcastle, Sydney (NSW), Melbourne (VIC), Perth (WA), Brisbane (QLD), and Darwin (NT).
**About our Team**
The ADSB APS6 Project Scheduler is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex planning and scheduling work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
The duties of the APS6 Project Scheduler within ADSB include the following (note: not all duties are required to be performed during a 12 month performance cycle):
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of project planning activities.
- Coordinate project performance and identify the need for change and takes action.
- Develop and implement project briefs and reports using a range of tools and techniques.
- Identify risks, uncertainties and opportunities during the planning process and develop and implement agreed recommendations that contribute to project outcomes.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members including the provision of coaching and mentoring and actively participate in team and group activities.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders, provide constructive feedback and recommend solutions.
- Assess and evaluate information and processes for compliance with extant legislation, policy, contracts and agreements as applicable and recommend action if required.
- Take the initiative to prioritise and progress work to meet business objectives.
- Accountable for continued participation and completion of competencies in line with the Scheduling Career Pathway and ongoing professional development.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternatives courses of action.
