**About Flinders Foundation**:
Working together to prevent, cure and care, the Flinders Foundation engages with individuals and organisations in the community to support health and medical research and improve patient care across the Flinders Medical precinct. Together, they raise funds to support leading clinicians and researchers across the Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders University, to make medical discoveries and improve the care available to patients and their families.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and leading a small team of three direct reports, the Communications Manager is primarily responsible for leading a comprehensive and integrated communications strategy for Flinders Foundation and providing strategic advice and support on all communications matters.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the Flinders Foundation communications strategy.
- Oversee the development and distribution of all written and digital communications
- Manage the Flinders Foundation brand, website and marketing collaternal
- Manage the design and digital portfolio
- Be the point of contact for all media liaisons on behalf of Flinders Foundation
- Lead a small but dynamic team of 3 direct reports specialising in marketing and design
- Build and maintain relationships with audiences across the Flinders Precinct.
- Manage budgets and financial transactions associated with the Communications portfolio.
**About You**:
**To be successful in the role you will demonstrate**:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (journalism, public relations, communications or related field) that involved high empathy/service levels to clients, supporters or the community.
- Extensive communications, marketing, media management, brand management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience in project/campaign management and ability to deliver against desired outcomes.
- Successful track record of effective stakeholder management including internal and external relationship building.
- Creative and innovative thinker that uses diplomacy, drive and empathy in developing strategies.
