About the Role
A high level of expertise and extensive experience is required to provide support, adjustments and accommodations for students with disabilities and specialised health needs across all school learning environments.
All students with a disability learn, participate and engages in classes with their same ages peers in supportive, inclusive classes across Prep to Year 6. An extensive range of support is to be provided across the school depending on the individual student including:
transitioning into Prep and to the local high school:
intensive, focused teaching and learning sessions with special education teachers and teacher aides;
provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments including social and emotional regulation and student engagement;
supported eating and play break times; implement and coordinate school-wide systems including date systems to monitor students with disability and record the NCCD on student with disability.
