**About this role**
We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Sterilisation Technician with leadership skills to progress their career pathway as a Supervisor within our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). The CSSD Supervisor assists the CSSD Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Hospital's CSSD by providing day to day supervision, assistance and coaching of work area staff to achieve quality outcomes within a process driven environment.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing and participating in CSSD workflow processes to ensure a quality service is provided
- Maintaining competency of self and other technicians in all sterilisation processes according to role and function of the unit
- Adhering to sterilising standards and relevant legislation that impact on practice
- Liaising with the Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure equipment is processed in a timely manner and to resolve issues relating to incomplete trays/missing instruments
- Recording all testing, compliance and repair work
- Undertaking internal audits as required
- Managing staff performance in conjunction with the CSSD Manager

**Hours**
This is a full-time position working 75 hours per fortnight across Monday to Friday, with varying am and pm start and finish times and out of hours and/or weekend work as agreed.

**About you**
This position will ideally suit Sterilisation Technicians who possess relevant qualifications (minimum Certificate III in Health Sciences - Sterilisation) and a minimum 3-years' experience within a hospital based CSSD environment. Previous experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role is also desirable.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A well-developed knowledge of CSSD functions and tasks
- The ability to deliver a quality service through effective team leadership
- Experience in managing workflow processes to achieve efficiency and safety
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a similar fast-paced environment
- A strong customer service orientation
- A high level of self-motivation
