**About the role**:
The Principal Policy Adviser supports the Manager, South East to lead the development and implementation of strategies to drive and monitor Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service transformation at a statewide level in line with the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Health Services and a range of program and policy areas within the department. To be successful in this role, you will be a high performing individual with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, policy development and communication skills. The role would be suited to individuals who are comfortable working with complex issues, in multidisciplinary teams and with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

**Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate**:

- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public policy, health administration or business management is required.
- Expertise in health system reform.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is essential.
