The opportunity

Nomad Coffee Group is currently experiencing significant growth, to support the operational requirements of this growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Fitter.

Working alongside a Maintenance Manager, this role is crucial for ensuring continuous improvement, safety, and the effective monitoring of production equipment to guarantee optimal plant performance and the realisation maintenance objectives. The position demands a solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on efficiently and effectively managing both scheduled repairs and unexpected breakdowns, all while upholding the highest standards of manufacturing and quality excellence.

The role will typically work our afternoon shift of 2.00pm - 10pm at our Truganina site, with the ability to work weekends and our am shift on as needed basis or across our Richmond site.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring production efficiency and downtime is minimised;
- Project work including new equipment installations and commissioning;
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on all plant and equipment within the factory;
- The delivery of reliable, efficient, safe, strategic and routine preventative maintenance activities;
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules and goals are achieved;
- Responding to breakdown situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor;
- Recording use and stock of critical machine and process parts;
- Asist in the maintaining of registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities;
- Liaise with supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment.

**Skills**:

- Trade certification in mechanical fitting or related trade or be currently undertaking an apprenticeship.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing Industry within in a maintenance/production environment;
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices with a commitment to best practice.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound decision-making, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a can-do attitude.
- Display an ability to contribute to continuous improvement within the Food Manufacturing sector establishing best in class;
- Exceptional problem-solving skills at pace, organisational and planning skills, backed by excellent technical mechanical and electrical understanding;
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and to complete basic site maintenance repair and servicing;
- Sound understanding of OHS, SQF & GMP Policies.
