**About the Mental Health Division**
- The Mental Health Division (MHD) delivers a wide range of recovery-oriented mental health services across Austin Health and the community in Victoria. Services focus on supported decision-making, partnering with consumers to promote self-determination, individual strengths, and personalised care.
**About the role**:
- The NDIS Program Lead at Austin Health MHD will act as the key contact with the NDIA local office and LAC partner, supporting NDIS-readiness across the service. The role involves maintaining and reporting on NDIS developments, building strong partnerships with external agencies, and strengthening the internal workforce's capacity to support consumers and carers through the NDIS pathway. The Lead will work collaboratively with the NDIS Steering Committee, area mental health services, and the DHHS Specialist Clinical Mental Health and NDIS Collaboration Project.
**About you**:
- You will have a relevant health qualification with current AHPRA registration (where applicable), and specific experience requirements for nurses, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. A valid Victorian driver’s licence and Working with Children Check are also essential.
- Ideally, you will have:
- experience in human service sectors
- strong knowledge of the NDIS and disability legislation
- clinical assessment and planning expertise
- workforce capacity building, and a person-centred approach
- strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork
