Camp Hill, Australia Silverchain Full time

When was the last time you made a difference in someone's life?

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for just that person to join the Silverchain team in the Camp Hill QLD area.

**What’s on offer**
- Guaranteed hours and shifts.
- Award rate $32.74 per hour + Super + paid KM's
- Employee benefits program + salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free each year.
- Accelerated learning programs to gain your professional qualifications (Cert 3).
- Paid CPR and First Aid courses.

**What we’re looking for**

We are looking for people who:

- Enjoy having variety in their day.
- Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
- Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
- Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

- A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- An interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).

**The role**

In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

- General housekeeping and making beds.
- Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
- Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities. Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.

**Why choose Silverchain**

Everyone at Silverchain, from our care teams to leadership, plays a vital role in delivering Best Care. It’s a team effort. Best Care is care that is safe, personal, connected and effective.

We are proudly one of the few Australian home care providers accredited in both national health and aged care standards. This means the quality of care we provide is expected to meet the same standards as a hospital or residential aged care facility.

As a not for profit organisation, we re-invest our funds into research and developing innovative models of care to set the industry benchmark for the provision of the best care in the home.

We'll also provide you with opportunities to help you develop and grow in your career, with training and education programs to help you achieve your goals.

**How to apply**

Silverchain Group has been trusted by Australians to deliver care that is differentiated by quality and safety for over 130 years.

At Silverchain, there’s no better feeling than being able to see firsthand the difference you make to the lives of others. Whether you’re in the office, a part of our care team or a clinician, working together helps us provide care in the home so clients can live independently, safely, and remain part of their community.

As a nationally accredited provider in health and aged care at home, we take our reputation seriously. We know what we do makes a difference for our clients, our communities, and you.
