**Service Technician / Field Service Technician**

**Our Client**:
This nationally renowned original equipment manufacturer (OEM) primarily focuses on servicing access-related equipment. Their workshop is conveniently located in Yatala, North Gold Coast, and they specialize in breakdown assistance, pre-delivery inspections, and routine maintenance for a range of machinery, including Elevated Work Platforms, boom-lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and various material handling equipment. They are committed to internal growth, offering exceptional working conditions and a supportive environment for training, mentoring, and staff development. Prioritizing quality over quantity, they are now expanding their trades team, offering positions in both the workshop and field service.

**Your Responsibilities**:
As part of a collaborative team, your role will involve servicing and fitting parts to various machinery. You will also conduct pre-delivery inspections and, for those demonstrating strong aptitude, engage in field service work. Your duties may include:

- Assembling and fitting parts and sub-assemblies, utilizing diverse materials to repair machinery and equipment.
- Thoroughly cleaning and lubricating assembled components.
- Diagnosing and rectifying issues with hydraulic equipment.
- Conducting regular machinery inspections.
- Managing inventory of parts under your jurisdiction.
- Disassembling defective parts using power tools such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical equipment.

In addition to being a reliable team player, you are someone who is committed to providing exceptional service and workmanship. You may possess the following qualifications and attributes:

- Trade qualifications in automotive, auto-electrical, mechanical, or diesel engineering.
- Previous experience working with access equipment, such as forklifts, Elevated Work Platforms, mobile cranes, and other material handling machinery.
- Prior experience in fitting and mechanics.
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- Confidence and experience in working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Effective communication skills.
- A strong desire for a permanent or ongoing position.
