**About the Role**

This role processes incoming, outgoing and internal telephone calls and ensures that calls are directed to the appropriate destination. The role also manages the calling**of emergency codes and management of alarms. The role also includes an enquiries and reception function, providing in person assistance to patients, carers, staff and community**.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
Process incoming, outgoing and internal telephone calls to the Ballarat Base Hospital switchboard and QE switchboard (after hours)
. Manage the public announcement of emergency codes and assist the incident manager with communication
. Respond to in person enquiries from patients, carers, staff and community at the main Enquiries desk, providing directions and assistance as required

**Skills & Experience**:
Excellent customer service and communication skill
