As the Cybersecurity Operations Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in safeguarding member and corporate information, systems, and funds at one of Australia’s leading super funds. Your leadership will enhance our ability to detect and respond to cyber threats, reduce risks, and ensure our controls are effective against a constantly evolving threat landscape. Working closely with an agile, high-performing team, you’ll drive continuous improvement in line with regulatory standards like APRA CPS 234, ensuring our defences are robust and our members’ privacy is protected.

**The opportunity**

This is your chance to take ownership of cybersecurity operations, managing incident response, vulnerability assessments, and technical security reviews. You’ll collaborate with our Managed Detection & Response providers, mentor the IT Security Analyst, and provide expert advice on mitigating threats across diverse technologies. With opportunities to contribute to our Information Security Roadmap, enhance controls, and influence supplier partnerships, you’ll have a direct impact on the strength of our defences and the security of our members’ data.

**About you**

You bring hands-on experience in security operations, with a proactive approach to identifying and responding to threats in complex, multi-vendor environments. Your expertise spans SIEM management (in Rapid7 InsightIDR), vulnerability assessments (in Rapid7 InsightVM), security engineering (in MS Azure) and modern network and cloud security solutions. You’re a skilled communicator with the ability to convey complex cybersecurity concepts clearly, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where your insights and mentorship inspire others to excel.
