We currently have a challenging opportunity as Production Planner - Process and Governance within our Maritime Australia program based in Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.

**Your new role**:
As Production Planner, you will be responsible for providing process framework, functioning toolsets and associated governance and reporting to ensure effective assurance of Planning processes to support the effort for the construction phase of the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP).

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager - Process and Governance you will be responsible for:

- Assist in the development of
- Planning process,
- Procedures
- Work instructions and
- Reports
- Assist in the development of Planning toolsets in ensuring configuration and workflows in the toolsets reflect process.
- Run appropriate governance reports for Planning which
- Ensure Process compliance
- Assists in Planning management of its level 2-4 schedule responsibilities
- Train the Planning in the appropriate use of the various Planning toolsets
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements in Process and Planning toolsets
- Responsible for closure of own actions within JIRA.
- Perform other relevant and appropriate duties as required

About you

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Working experience in a Production, Scheduling/ Production Planning type role, preferably in the heavy engineering industries or equivalent tertiary qualifications or production trade experience
- Working experience in the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations requirements and processes
- Knowledge of effective use of Planning and scheduling processes, systems and tools

Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
