About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a Production Planner - Process Analyst to join our Maritime Australiabusiness on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, Adelaide location. You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, reporting to Production Planning Lead, and will be employed on a permanent full time basis.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world's most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide support with the production planning process framework, functioning toolsets and associated governance and reporting, ensuring an effective planning process
- Assist with the development of the production planning process, production procedures, work instructions and production reports
- Perform production planning activities
- Train the production planning team in the effective use of planning toolsets
- Identify and implement improvements with the production planning process and the planning toolsets
- Assist in the development of production planning toolsets, ensuring configuration and workflows in the toolsets reflect processes
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and provide advice on the production planning process, its toolsets and governance
About YOU
- Production Planning experience or technical experience in a production/manufacturing/engineering/project controls environment
- An awareness of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and toolsets is desirable
- Good computer skills and experience utilising the Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
