**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Manager, the Cyber Security Analyst acts as a technical specialist for Cyber Security operations at ASC ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of ASC data and information systems.

This role works in the Cyber Security team performing proactive management of cyber security risks and threats and responsible for the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of cyber security tools, processes and operational procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert advice in the development and maintenance of information security and risk policies.
- Develop and maintain documentation of Cyber Security operational procedures and processes
- Provide guidance in Cyber Security awareness training to influence user behaviour.
- Performs security administration tasks to maintain and support tools and technologies used for threat detection, incident response, event management, vulnerability management and access management.
- Perform investigations of cyber security incidents, responds and recovers from cyber security breaches and recommends and implements appropriate control measures as required.
- Contribute to the development of the Cyber Security Awareness program and educate all staff in awareness of cyber security issues, supports the Cyber Security training programs so that staff are trained in good cyber security practice and are storing and managing data in accordance with ASC’s data classification policy.
- Develop cyber security solutions and security procedures that mitigate risks posed by new technologies and business processes.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience in the administration of Cyber Security or IT systems management toolsets.
- Experience in assessing and managing cyber security risks and threats in a complex network environment and in responding to cyber security incidents.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, documentation and implementation of Cyber Security solutions.
- Experience in developing and maintaining ACSC Essential Eight controls and the ACSC ISM controls in general.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading IT or Cyber Security projects.
- Expert knowledge in managing and maintaining IT system toolsets and networks.
- Minimum 5 years in administration of IT systems based on Microsoft, Linux or Cisco technologies.
- Minimum 3 years in administration of Cyber Security solutions such as SIEM, EDR and Security Operation technologies.

**Eligibility**:
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
