- In using Inquiry Cycles, constructive and targeted feedback and research based, high yield strategies in teaching and learning
- Teaching and learning through an age-appropriate curriculum needs to be engaging whilst ensuring students know the learning intentions and success criteria and how it relates to their current or future world
- Social skills, persistence, resilience, positive behaviours for learning (PBL) and academic skills need to be taught consistently throughout the school to improve engagement and to support a calm learning environment
- Students require differentiated levels of support for both academic success and improved social/behavioural choices
- Positive communication, mutual respect, and transparency in decision making are the keys to developing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, students and families

- In celebrating success and diversityAs a Pedagogical Coach you will have responsibility for the following: - Lead coaching and mentoring of staff members, developing collegiality, building a learning and development culture, modelling innovative teaching styles and encouraging appropriate professional development. Lead the development, implementation and review of teaching and learning strategies in targeted programs. Facilitate Professional Learning Team meetings and supporting teacher with the Response to Intervention model. Support Head of Curriculum in: o Whole school data analysiso Identified aspects of school Annual Implementation Plano Plan and present Professional Development to staffo Quality Assure assessments & marking guides
- Assume a lead role within the school leadership team with the development and implementation of strategies relating to targets relevant to each school location. The Coach reports directly to the Head of Department - Curriculum of their nominated base location.
- Competence in leading positive behaviour strategies
- Strong organisational skills
- Thorough understanding of coaching and mentoring teaching staff
- Ability and desire to nurture positive relationships
- Experience quality assuring: Systematic curriculum delivery, Effective pedagogical practices, An expert teaching team

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
