Your day to day
You will report directly to the Credit Manager and work with the wider Billings & Accounts Receivable (AR) team. The Billings and AR team sits within the wider Finance department of 50+ staff in Sydney.
We process 10,000+ invoices per month and have a strict policy on payment due dates. This is more than your average “debt collector” role role and whilst chasing outstanding payments is part of your day to day, your responsibilities will also include:
- Collect all monies owed in alignment with the assigned terms and as per the due date
- Obtain debtor payment confirmations monthly and as required updating the cash forecast
- Work closely and build relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage Insurance limits assigned to all clients - when exceeded, revoked or not granted
- Prepare all local & global reporting as per deadlines assigned
- Assist with month end receipting and AR team ad hoc duties e.g SOX and Audits
- Work to department and individual deadlines.
**Your experience so far**:
- 5 years experience in a full function Credit Control/Accounts Receivable role
- Results driven and goal oriented
- Experience with high volume debtor accounts warranting strong reconciliation skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills is a must
- Experience in dealing with blue chip clients on a global scale would be an advantage
- Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
