**Kitchen Hand / FOH**

**About the role**
As a Kitchen Hand / Front of House Scooper at Chicho Gelato, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our production kitchen whilst maintaining excellent customer service to our customers. This part time position is based in our Beaufort Street production kitchen and involves a range of food preparation and kitchen duties to help deliver our premium gelato products to our customers. You will be working approximately 4-5 days per week from 12pm - 5pm including Saturdays.

**What you will be doing**
- Assisting the Production Manager and Gelato Makers with food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment and workstations are clean, sanitised and in good working order
- Restocking and checking inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Following all food safety and hygiene procedures to the highest standards
- Supporting the kitchen team as required to meet production demands
- Serving customers to the highest standards - friendly, welcoming and at their service at all times
- Fulfilling the role of the FOH Scooper duties - including opening the store, serving gelato, preparing & serving hot & cold drinks, cleaning of machinery, other FOH tasks.

**What we are looking for**
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar food preparation role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Previous FOH, barista &/or gelato scooper experience
- Excellent customer service and interaction skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team
- Passionate about food and a keen interest in the artisan gelato making process

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
