**Job Title**: WHS Principal Consultant

**Reports To**: Workforce Strategies Leader, Sydney

**Primary Objectives**:
**Team Leader**
- Act as team leader/manager for direct reports, including:

- Manage internal resourcing within the team for client projects and resourcing requests
- Ensure team meets timely report writing, quality, administration, time entry, debtor and expense management requirements for effective delivery of client projects
- Develop capabilities of consultants through engagement, mentoring and identifying and providing opportunities for development
- Work with the Workforce Strategies Leader in monthly financial tasks including forecasting, resourcing and revenue reporting for own team
- Actively mentor and coach non-direct report consultants to assist in leading the broader Workforce Strategies team
- Sit on Workforce Strategies Senior Leadership Team and contribute to continual improvement of the team

**Client Service**
- Provide clients and client executives with solutions to their WHS and risk management problems:

- Analyse client needs through the use of data and analytics as well as listening to client needs
- Recommend suitable strategies, approaches or options based on analysis
- Prepare accurate proposals and project plans, including tender responses to varying levels of complexity based on client needs
- Lead or participate in the project and deliver against project plan including to scope, time and budget
- Complete review and measure results against scope and plan, ensuring client satisfaction
- Maintain strong day to day relationships with clients and client executives on projects
- Actively seek opportunities to identify client needs and align those needs to broader Marsh and MMC services

**Project Management**
- Act as Project Manager on selected client projects
- Follow, promote and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with the Marsh SOPs
- When not acting as Project Manager on projects, support Project Manager in the co-ordination and management of all consulting staff
- Comply with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting and billing
- Debtor management to ensure clients are invoiced in a timely manner and track invoice payment to avoid bad debts

**Business Development**
- Actively develop and generate new and expanded business opportunities
- Provide suggestions to team for improving and enhancing business development activities
- Direct or perform research for business development purposes
- Identify cross selling opportunities and participate in cross selling initiatives as appropriate by engaging with internal stakeholders

**Colleague Development**
- Support in mentoring consultants and assist in peer reviewing their activities as required
- Seek opportunities for self and colleagues to develop new skills and broaden and deepen knowledge

**Revenue Generation**
- When acting as Project Manager, ensure project team maintain productivity and profitability on project
- Produce consulting revenues based on revenue targets and utilisation rate
- Ensure consultants in their team are utilised in accordance with their target rate
