The Business Development team support the growth of Abt Australia’s portfolio and contributes to the company's diversification and growth strategies. Key responsibilities include the preparation and coordination of high quality, client-focused and compliant tender submissions, contributing to market intelligence, strategic planning and positioning to enhance business diversification and growth.

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking expressions of interest from talented business development professionals who may be interested to join our team, preferably based in Brisbane or Canberra. The positions below are an indication of the types of opportunities that may become available long-term or short-term:

- **Business Development Manager**

Contribute to Abt’s business development strategy and lead the end-to-end proposal management for large scale, complex development programs. Identify and track potential business opportunities, work closely with teams of experts across Abt’s global business and external stakeholders, to develop compelling value propositions, coordinate of the proposal process on assigned opportunities, from capture to contract award, and ensuring proposal compliance and timely submissions.
- **Business Development Specialist**

Contribute to the end-to-end preparation and project management of high quality, client-focussed and compliant tenders, from capture to contract award. Ensure priority bids are managed through structured capture plans and help to shape and contribute to technical and operational approaches for bids across target sectors and Abt Australia’s key geographies.
- **Business Development Coordinator**

Supports proposal coordinator efforts including organising and scheduling meetings, disseminating and responding to information, ensuring next steps are documented and maintaining internal records. Provide support and assistance to the Business Development team as required including tracking opportunities, competitor analysis, tracking industry trends, market research.

**About You**
- Relevant experience in business development related roles, preferably with some work experience within an international development sector
- Demonstrated experience in lead or support roles in business development, including capture, proposal writing and proposal management, preferably on winning proposals for commercial contracts.
- Track record of working effectively with remote teams in developing countries
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle high volume of priorities in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines, and multiple simultaneous projects/tasks.
