**Your Role**

The Tullamarine CSL Engineering department is hiring a Mechanical Technician (Fitter). **This role is a currently a dayshift role, transitioning to a 24/7 roster on 12 hour shift in the near future.**

You’ll conduct preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on automated machines at our world class manufacturing facilities at CSL Seqirus, Tullamarine

**Your Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Mechanical Coordinator (Engineer) you will possess experience conducting preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production, utility and supporting equipment. Role requirement includes:

- Overhauling and maintaining production and utility equipment.
- TIG stainless steel welding and Lathe and Milling machine work
- Working with Microsoft software packages and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Working to GMP principles and an appreciation of aseptic processes and techniques
- Supporting manufacturing on a shift roster. Flexibility in working hours to meet operational needs, including availability outside normal work hours /Facility shutdown to support major maintenance activities

**Your Experience**
- Qualification**:Certificate 3 Mechanical Engineering trade or Indentured Certificate as a Fitter & Turner**:

- Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of production equipment and expertise in fault diagnosis and corrective action
- Experience within a regulated GMP environment in the Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing would be an advantage
- An understanding of aseptic techniques and work traceability standards is highly desirable
- You are highly motivated and enjoy utilising your initiative to solve complex mechanical related problems
- Strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards
