We are representing one of the biggest brands in the animal health pharmaceutical industry. Backed up by incredible science / R&D unit, our client has a comprehensive multi-species animal health portfolio.
Our client has asked for our assistance to find their next **Rebate Specialist (Finance/Accounting)** The role will be **Sydney** and will report to the Operations Director for Australia.
The role will be instrumental in partnering with the broader Operations, Sales and Finance team to manage the end-to-end accrual-to-payment process for customer rebates.

**Responsibilities**

All accounting activities that relate to promotional income and customer rebate, such as:

- payment of customer rebate payments via SAP (Vistex or Ariba)
- month end processes (including financial reporting/journals/reconciliations)
- interactions with customers on issues relating to rebates
- interactions with internal management on rebate reporting

**You will also possess the following attributes**
- Bachelor’s Degree qualification required, preferably in relevant field, rebates, data management, systems analytics, finance
- IT literate. Able to use standard business software, communication tools. Advanced capability in data management systems
- Qualified accountant preferred, solid Financial/Accounting background
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in customer rebate management preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred (Vistex ideally)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, ability to work effectively under time pressure, demonstrating strong time management, prioritisation, and organisational abilities
- Able to formulate and drive initiatives for better ways of working and process improvements
- Great adaptability, strong attention to detail & problem solving skills
- Team player
- Sense of ownership
- Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal
- Self motivated and a quick learner
- Experience working in highly regulated corporate environment
- Experience in animal health or human pharmaceuticals, or life sciences is desirable
