**Personal Care Workers (PCWs) - New Specialist Dementia Unit**

Bene Aged Care is launching a brand-new **Specialist Dementia Care Unit** in October 2025 at our St. Agnes site — and we’re looking for dedicated PCWs to join our care team.

7:00am-3:00pm

3:00pm-11:00pm

11:00pm-7:00am

9:00am-3:00pm (Floating PCW)

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to older people living with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
- Support residents’ daily living activities in alignment with personalised care plans, cultural preferences, and family needs.
- Observe and report on residents' health and functional changes to clinical staff.
- Promote independence and rehabilitation-focused care.
- Actively contribute to care planning, quality improvement, and continuous learning.

**What You Bring**:
**Essential**:

- Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent
- Experience in residential aged care
- Knowledge and experience in dementia care
- Current National Police Certificate
- Understanding of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD)

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP)

Our new Specialist Dementia Care Unit is designed to support older individuals living with more complex dementia-related needs. The focus is on stabilisation, intensive person-centred support, and transition planning — all delivered in a warm, purpose-built environment.
