About The Opportunity
Fronditha Care aims to ensure the elderly are able to live in a residential facility or remain at home and be supported by those who share their language, history, religious values, attitudes, rituals, celebrations, music and food. Presently, we have a need for Greek speaking Personal Care Workers to support our elderly in our residential facilities and/or at home.
The Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Providing personal care to our elderly
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Mobility assistance
- Assistance with eating and drinking
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
- Observing the conditions of our elderly and reporting any concerns
- Encourage care recipients to make their own decisions
- Respite Care – companionship and conversation
What Success Looks Like For This Role
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum qualification)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field.
- Previous experience in providing personal care services in an Aged Care Facility or in Home & Community Care
- A team-oriented attitude, empathy and problem solving skills
- Commitment to deliver quality care to our elderly
- Bilingual proficiency - fluent in English and Greek
- Fully vaccinated as per applicable Federal and State government requirements for employees working in Health & Aged Care industry.
