About the Role
As Behaviour Support Practitioner Team Leader, you'll balance leadership and clinical duties, guiding a team of Behaviour Support Clinicians while managing your own caseload. Your expertise will shape best practice delivery, drive quality outcomes, and promote meaningful change for individuals living with disability and complex needs.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the development and implementation of evidence-based, neuro-affirming behaviour support services and compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners.
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and develop/oversee tailored Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Maintain a caseload, demonstrating high-quality clinical work aligned with NDIS requirements.
- Review and sign off on behaviour support plans in line with proficiency/advanced level authority.
- Monitor outcomes, adjust strategies as needed, and oversee reduction in restrictive practices.
- Collaborate with families, support networks, and allied health professionals for holistic outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement, staff development, and uphold clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies.
- Report on team KPIs, service quality, and caseload outcomes.

What We're Looking for Essential Criteria:

- Advanced or Proficient registration with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Advance level preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental delay, autism, mental health challenges, or dual diagnosis.
- Expertise in conducting FBAs and implementing behaviour support interventions.
- Proven leadership experience in a clinical or allied health setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and reduction of restrictive practices.
- Ability to manage a high-performing team and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with HR processes, clinical compliance, and best practice frameworks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, or Behavioural Science.
- Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or other professional bodies (if applicable).
- Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Clearance, Police Check, and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
