**About the role**

Student Support Services works with schools and preschools to provide support to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. The Responsive Relationships Facilitator requires the incumbent to positively participate in the implementation and review of a service model that supports the provision of responsive relationships to preschool sites to assist them in meeting the needs of preschool educators and children. This role is expected to provide support to both metro and regional sites.

The Responsive Relationships Facilitator is a member of the Student Support Services preschool responsive relationships delivery team. The role delivers a capability strengthening and reflective practice approach for preschool leadership and educators to enhance their relational and responsive interactions skills with children. This involves trialing and delivering responsive relationships via multiple workshops, and reflective practice sessions to support preschool leaders and educators to successfully embed the evidence-based skills. This model uses a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and early childhood practice lens to enhance the wellbeing, belonging and social emotional development of preschool children.

The Responsive Relationships Facilitator reports directly to the Senior and will work with identified preschools, and their partnerships.

Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.

**Qualifications**

**For an occupational therapist**:
**Essential**: Current and full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

**For a speech pathologist**:
**Essential**: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership with Speech Pathology Australia.

**For a social worker**:
**Essential**: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers

**Special conditions**

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**

AHP2 $91,785 - $106,330 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.
