**About Us**

Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

**About our Rail Team**

Our rail team delivers a broad range of rail projects and services to help future-proof rail networks, connect communities, and ensure the reliable, efficient transport of goods. Our expertise includes track reconditioning and point and crossing renewal works within the rail corridor, upgrade services for high voltage, traction overhead wiring and railway stations and associated rail infrastructure such as rail bridges and maintenance facilities. We work collaboratively with clients from the public and private sector under various contracting models, including design and construction, construction-only, programs of works, and operations and maintenance contracts.

Some of our recent work includes the Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities (SHOO) project for Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) where we are engaged to complete the early works. This project is integral to the broader SHOO project, which will develop track and signaling infrastructure that will enable the safe overtaking of freight trains up to 1,800m. We are also working on the Hunter Valley Track Reconditioning and Earthworks package which includes rail track formation and reconditioning, level crossing upgrades, and associated works which will improve the rail network, enhance efficiency, capacity, and safety across the network.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in rail and infrastructure projects both in design and construction, ideally with a background working on ARTC, Sydney Trains or Transport for New South Wales projects.
