**About the Role**
**You will be a key team member of the Audit Team and play an important role in driving success within the bank. Your primary focus will be in**:
- Conduct Internal Audits in accordance with the IIA Standards.
- Identifies and evaluates significant exposures to risk and contributes to the improvement of business controls and performance.
- As part of the audit process reviews departmental records and interviews employees to ensure accuracy of transactions and record keeping in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, policies and procedures.
- Arranges and conducts audits in accordance with the approved Annual Audit Plan.
- Prepares, and completes reporting on audit findings and follows up on action items as appropriate.
- Conducts quarterly credit hindsight reviews.
- Prepares for stakeholder and/or team discussions and collaborates and delivers in conjunction with senior staff
- Clearly and concisely documents the results of internal audit procedures
- Gains trust of other parties, balancing diplomacy with assertiveness
- Reviews monthly reports via computer audit program (CAPS) for independent verification of transactions in the ultra data system and other exception reporting. (The External Auditors place reliance on the effective performance of this particular function)
- Utilisation of the Audit Management program (HighBond) including collation of audit information, generation of audit reports and tracking of action items.
**The successful applicant will have**:

- Relevant qualifications i.e. Degree, CPA/CA, etc.
- Working experience and knowledge of Australian financial regulatory mandates eg. APRA is required.
- Experience with regulators and regulatory assessment/review process.
- Management experience highly regarded and preferred.
- Data analytics experience highly regarded and preferred.
