The Department of Justice and Community Safety is currently seeking a Project Officer to provide a critical within Justice Health.

About the business unit
Justice Health's objective is to improve the health of adults and young people in Victorian custodial settings. As a business unit of the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Justice Health is responsible for overseeing the delivery of health, mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to persons in Victoria's adult and youth justice facilities by contracted service providers.
About the role
The Projects Officer provides a key project management role in both identifying and defining improvements to the current electronic medical record (EMR) system as well as the development of a new electronic medical record to be used across both adult and youth custodial settings. The main areas of focus for the role will be to gather requirements from a range of stakeholders in order to identify areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen processes. Maintain a clear oversight of Project reporting requirements, effective document management, internal and external stakeholder management and administration support.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Manage project administrative processes at the direction of the Project Manager including secretariat support and assisting in governance, analysis and reviews across a range of project activities.
- Support the development of functional requirements and service specifications for the EMR and other essential systems.
- Support the identification of and response to functional improvements for the existing EMR and other essential systems.

About you
Core to being successful in this role will be your strong project support and administration skills, a demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and meet deadlines and your strong project management skills.

**In addition, you will have**:

- Knowledge of and/or experience in Victorian Government administrative processes.
- Exposure to ICT projects or programs.
- Knowledge of current trends in ICT infrastructure, or the ability to understand these issues quickly.
- Experience in working with stakeholders to facilitate end to end solution requirements definition and delivery.
